Choriatiki salad is synonymous with the endless, Greek summer and it is served everywhere in Greece, in every tavern or restaurant and in every household. It's easy, it's delicious, it's super healthy and you gonna love it!
Ingredients
- a large piece of feta cheese (200 g)
- 2 fresh, large tomatoes
- 1 crisp cucumber
- 1 medium red onion
- 1 green pepper (optional)
- 8-9 black olives (whole, not sliced)
- 4-5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (be generous with the olive oil)
- 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
Wash and dry the vegetables. Cut the tomatoes and the cucumber in large pieces. Then slice the onion thinly and cut the green pepper into rings. After that put the veggies in a plate, add the salt, the oregano and the olives and mix them well. Put the feta cheese on the top and to finish, drizzle virgin olive oil on the salad.
