Lefkada reopens to world!
Great news for those who want to travel to Lefkada island this summer.
Prioritizing the safety for travelers and locals, Health Minister Vasilis Kikilias announced yesterday that Greece is aiming to vaccinate all the residents of the Greek islands* over the age of 18 with the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine by the end of June 2021. As a result, Lefkada will soon be fully vaccinated and will be a safe destination for travel.
*The list includes 19 Greek islands that are under the “Blue Freedom” plan: Lefkada, Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Lesvos, Chios, Salamina, Kos, Samos, Rodos, Syros, Naxos, Santorini, Limnos, Kalymnos, Thasos, Mykonos, Paros, Aigina. New vaccination centers are being set up which will be supplemented by mobile vaccination teams.

These 3 tiny islands close to Lefkada were prioritized and as a result now are covid-free. All of their residents have been vaccinated against the virus and the islanders express their happiness that things are returning to normal.
