On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 8:30 PM, the international quartet FRESCO, based in Vienna, will join forces with Greek cellist Loukia Loulaki for a captivating program featuring works by Franz Schubert, Werner Schulze, and Mikis Theodorakis. The concert will take place in the courtyard of the village church and is presented in collaboration with the Intercultural Institute of Lefkada and Hellenic Idylle, as part of the Austro-Greek Summer Music Festival organized by the Austrian Embassy in Greece. This initiative aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries through the universal language of music.
On Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 9:00 PM, the same venue will come alive with the soulful sounds of rebetiko, a genre deeply rooted in Greek culture. Beloved musicians and singers from Lefkada – Vangelis Kapotis, Dimitris Therianos, Notis Vagenas, Avgoustinos Karavias, and Stelios Zavitsanos – will perform songs that resonate with the heart of the Greek spirit.
