“Terra Femina | Woman’s Earth”
The “Th. Stamos” Art Gallery presents the tribute exhibition “Terra Femina | Woman’s Earth”, dedicated to the work of the distinguished painter Themistoklis Karfakis, an artist who portrayed the female figure with exceptional sensitivity and artistic power, presenting her as a timeless symbol of life, beauty and creation.
Through the artistic vision of Themistoklis Karfakis, the exhibition “Terra Femina | Woman’s Earth” brings to the forefront female figures who, throughout the centuries, have shaped, influenced and defined the modern world. It is a tribute to both real and mythical women whom the artist chose as his muses, transforming them into the central focus of his work.
In Karfakis’ art, Woman as an ideal flourishes through every stage of life, free from the limitations of age, social status, politics and culture.
The exhibition will open on Monday, 20 July 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
It will run from Monday, 20 July, to Thursday, 30 July 2026, and will be open to the public daily from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The exhibition is curated by Fani Koulοcheri and Anthi Stergiou.
