Nina Therianou Photography Exhibition
TAOL – Traces of Memory in Waiting
The photographs in this series document the old TAOL winery building in Lefkada, shortly before it enters a new chapter in its history. Through raw, almost silent images, the exhibition seeks to preserve the visual memory of a place that once formed an integral part of the island’s identity, yet remains largely unknown to younger generations. This is neither a political nor a nostalgic record. Rather, the photographs act as observations: surfaces, decay, light, and traces of human presence. Together, they form a visual archive of a building suspended between the past and disappearance. The old winery has long been a historic landmark for the island and, in recent years, has been at the centre of discussions concerning its future use and redevelopment.
The exhibition will open at the “Theodoros Stamos” Art Gallery on Thursday, 24 September 2026, at 20:30.
It will run from Thursday, 24 September to Wednesday, 30 September 2026, and will be open to the public daily from 10:00 to 13:00 and 18:00 to 21:00.
